FURminator Undercoat Deshedding Tool for Dogs
Dad came home with a metal rake that looks like it was designed to torture me. He was very excited about it. I was not.
Dad
I saw this online and thought it looked promising. What's your first reaction to it?
Boldo
It's a metal comb with a handle. Cold. Smells like a warehouse and plastic packaging. Nothing about it says good time to me. Why do you always buy things with sharp edges?
Dad
You've been staring at it for ten minutes now. What's the deal? What do you smell?
Boldo
The metal has that industrial smell under the plastic. There's something else thoughβsome kind of coating. Not food. Not interesting. Is that bacon I smell from the kitchen or are you just standing there?
Dad
Okay, we used it. You stood still for it. Now what do you actually think?
Boldo
It doesn't hurt. That's good. Gets a lot of hair outβI could feel it working under all the loose stuff. The handle is long enough that you can reach my back without me having to move much. I admit it's fine. Better than fine, probably.
Dad
The cat hasn't gone near it. Hasn't even sniffed it. What does that tell you?
Boldo
The cat has terrible judgment so that means nothing. Also the cat is lazy. But I'll say thisβif the cat had gotten one too, I would be annoyed right now. So maybe it's working in my favor that she doesn't care about it.
Dad
Rate it. One to five. You know what the ones are.
Boldo
Four. It actually works. Gets the undercoat out without being painful. Doesn't smell great but it smells fine. You didn't waste money on this one. I won't ask you to return it. That's the highest compliment I'm giving you today.
