Kurgo Wander Dog Bed
You opened the box and it smelled like a factory. I was not impressed. Then you unfolded it and I realized it was actually mine, which changed things slightly.
Dad
Okay, I bought this. You were there when I opened the box. What did you think?
Boldo
Fabric smell. Plastic smell. Neither good. But the shape looked rightβflat, open edges, room to move. I got in immediately because I wanted to know if it was better than the couch I've been using. It was softer than I expected.
Dad
Let's talk about the smell. I know that's your main thing.
Boldo
Factory chemicals for the first week. Bad. Like I was sleeping on a new car. But it faded. Now it just smells like the garage where you keep it, which is fine. Neutral. Doesn't compete with the couch smell, which is disappointing because I was hoping for something unique.
Dad
You've had some time with it now. Is it any good?
Boldo
It's good for what it is. The bottom doesn't slip on hardwood. The sides are high enough that I don't feel exposed. Wait, is that the cat getting treats in the kitchen? Never mind. The stitching is solid. Haven't shredded it yet, and you know I would.
Dad
I paid around $50 for this. Be honest. Worth it?
Boldo
Yes. It's portable, which I hate because it means you pack it for trips. But it's better than being forced to sleep on a hotel floor. The reinforced corners actually hold up. Most of your purchases fall apart in two months. This one won't.
Dad
Final answer. Would you recommend this to other dogs?
Boldo
If they travel, yes. If they're rough on their beds like me, yes. If they care about fashion, I don't know and don't care. It's gray and functional. Does the job. I'm not excited about it, but I wouldn't reject it either. That's the best compliment I can give you.

Boldo's Verdict
π©π©π©π©4 out of 5 poos. It's solid. Not thrilled, but I'll use it.
